Scales and all

I also wanted to do a quick post on how we did the makeup for the parade. We had so many people asking about it, that I wanted to be sure and show off our technique.
First, I used concealer and powder all over my face and then put on my eyeshadow and blush. Then, I put a fishnet stocking over my head and Dinne helped dab on high-pigment eyeshadow for the scales. On my face she used a couple different teals and greens. I ended up looking like someone from an Alexander McQueen fashion show with the stocking on my head. It wasn’t the most comfortable thing, but it worked. I then took off the stocking and Dinne helped add a few contour lines with eyeliner along a few of the scales. To top it all off I added fake eyelashes and heart-shaped lipstick. I wanted to add more scales to my arms and neckline, but we ran out of time. Oh, time. There’s always next year!
