Sewing Republic Sneak Peak

When I’m at flea markets or designer discount stores, there always seems to be something that has a forceful gravitational pull to my psyche…that horribly unorganized bin of handkerchiefs. I have to scour through them and hold up each one to analyze it like a scientist. Handkerchiefs always have the most amazing border prints and colors, but I’m not on the cast of Mad Men and therefore basically would feel silly wearing them around every day.

Recently I came across two matching Oscar De La Renta silk scarves. The print was absolutely stunning, and the weight was perfect for a breezy dress. The result was this project for Sewing Republic. The how-to will post on their site on Sept. 10.
