Stuffing, stuffing everywhere

So John and I made Thanksgiving dinner this year, which was somehow harder than it was last year.

That is a look of concern, my friend. I was on the phone with my mom trying to figure out what in the hell I was doing. That day found me thawing the turkey in the bathtub because his innards were frozen solid. John made me pull the guts out to “build character”, but all it did was freeze my fingers and demand that he finish the job. I thought something was wrong with either my bulging biceps or the turkey because I just could NOT get that stuff out. Took manly ol’ John a bit, but he got it removed and in the roaster it went. Took me 3 days, but I also made some dressing…or stuffing…or whatever you want to call it. Doesn’t matter, because the moral of that story is THERE WAS TOO MUCH! Next year, I won’t even make 1/3 of my great grandmother’s recipe.

I also made lemon bars, giblet (eeewww!) gravy, rolls, cookies, uhh…I think that’s it…Every time I end up cooking an animal from scratch, I think I might turn vegetarian…Never sticks, though. Although this year, I’m going to be vegetarian the entire month of February. Last year I did March (co-workers can remember my March Against Meat! month where I complained for 31 days striaght…). This year I’m doing the shorter month. My Thanksgiving ended up great with mostly gay Texans all ending up at an Irish pub shooting virtual deer with a plastic shot gun. aaaahhhh…so gay Texan!
