Julia Stiles “saves” the environment with fashion

Today at work I found myself pouring over InFashion catalogs trying to find a reference for a certain trend. Normally I find these books incredibly inspiring, but today they were making me loathe the fact that I was in my cubicle. Perhaps it was the sunny day outside, or maybe because I chose to wear tights in August, but either way I was pleasantly jolted out of my fashion trance when my friend sent me a link to this video today by The Vacationeers.

Check out the video above featuring the Vacationeers and the lovely Julia Stiles to introduce her new fashion line Julia Stiles Styles. Yes, I drive a hybrid car and yes, I work in fashion, but I still found this to be absolutely hilarious. The outfits are all made from recycled materials including 10 shirts that were cut apart to make only one shirt. And where did Miss Stiles find the inspiration for her styles? Why, on location overseas of course. Her main inspiration for the suit made from newspapers was seeing small homeless children draped in newspapers for warmth. “I just wish other Americans could be so openminded,” she explains.
